Lockdown life - how are you coping?

Can you believe we’re 7 weeks in to quarantine?

No, me neither. I can’t quite decide if it feels long or short. One thing is for certain - I’m prepared to continue rattling around the 4 walls of my house until we have a clear path forward.

Some brilliant campaigns are being shared and talked about:

  • McCann Belgrade puts a brilliant twist on one of the pandemic's most common visuals [Ad Week]

  • Athlete Media Group are making meaningful connections for athletes with new 'Champions of Purpose' digital outdoor campaign, created by agency partner lucky7 [AMG website]

  • The brilliant Banksy is at it again - the artwork paying tribute to NHS workers appeared ‘mysteriously’ in a hospital corridor. Ah, the intrigue!

The team at Solutions 4 Office have shared some decent working from home tips in their recent blog and I’ve been trying to keep my daily step count up by taking snaps of lockdown Bury St Edmunds (some of which have been used on the East Anglian Daily Times gallery).

The team at Focal Point Positioning have been creating Strava art which demonstrates the discrepancies amongst todays sports and fitness wearables. Their latest post Why you can’t trust Strava to help you run your backyard COVID marathon is well worth a read if a) you’re a keen runner and b) you’re developing location based services. They are also shortlisted for an award (“hottest spacetech startup”) which you can find vote details of here.

Last week I took part in my first virtual exercise class (delivered by the super fit NHS physiotherapist, Becky Hair) and a ‘let’s talk about money’ webinar with financial planning firm, First Wealth. Quite the mix! And I hope to share some learnings about self employment over the coming month.

Thanks for reading.
